Roby Yadegar
FOUNDER & PRESIDENt
Before founding Yadegar Law PC in 2010, Roby started his career at some of the world’s top business law firms. He is an experienced, entrepreneurially-minded business attorney devoted to providing high-level legal work, counsel and advice for entrepreneurs, professionals and companies of all sizes across a wide variety of industries including technology, media, entertainment, finance, real estate, manufacturing, fitness and fashion. Roby prides himself on providing the highest level of service and his built this firm on that guiding principle.
Roby began his legal career after his first year of law school as a summer associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom where he immediately worked on several high profile finance and M&A transactions. After Skadden, Roby joined the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles where he focused primarily on M&A, private equity transactions, venture capital transactions, equity financings and general corporate representation for domestic and international private and public companies.
After five years at Latham, Roby joined the Media & Entertainment Transactions Group at Katten Muchin Rosenman in Century City where he advised media companies, television networks, tech companies, distribution and production companies, financial institutions and investment funds in a variety of transactions, including the development, production, financing, acquisition and exploitation of intellectual property and entertainment assets in a variety of media, including television, internet, home video and other emerging digital media.
Before starting YLPC he co-founded a consumer-facing tech startup – an experience he says helped him understand business from the other side of the table, and which he credits with making him the practical, entrepreneurially-minded lawyer he is today.
Roby received his JD from NYU, his BA in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and attended Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles, where he was born and raised. A native Angeleno, he is passionate about playing his small role in helping to shape the business community in the city he loves.

Chris has over 16 years experience as a business, corporate, and securities attorney and finance and business management consultant. Chris has represented businesses and individuals in a wide variety of transactional matters. He works primarily in business, corporate, and real estate law. Chris has worked as general counsel and chief financial officer for several publicly traded companies which has given him a unique insight into the real world needs of businesses. In addition, he has worked for law firms in the areas of business, contracts, employment, real estate, and securities law. Although he focuses primarily on transactional matters, Mr. Barsness has also successfully litigated cases involving contracts, real estate, and employment issues.
In his spare time, he loves to contribute his time volunteering for numerous organizations, training for his first century (not the best swimmer, so I can't do triathlons), and learning about new businesses and technologies.
